What a great first week at White Oak Middle School. Our kids came back from their summer break refreshed and ready to work. Our middle school number count is around 338 students, slightly more than this time last year. Our band program has 234 (6,7,8 grade), our athletic programs are running 157 (boys and girls), our middle school choir numbers are up to 82 students. We will begin our UIL Academic practice in a few weeks and many students will be preparing for our academic meet in December. As you can see, most of our students are in some form of extra-curricular activity. That is what makes WOMS so special.

What a great start to the 2009-2010 school year. Last week, many students registered, walked the halls, found their lockers, and basically became familiar with the layout of WOMS. Obviously, others will enroll this week while still others will arrive on the first day of school, already behind. If you have not registered, come by this week between 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.-3 p.m.. Please do not wait until August 24.   If so, your registration experience may take some time as we will not begin this registration until after 8:00 a.m.    You may be delayed due to the number of late arrivals.
